Making a bold statement for artist Kerwin Blackburn

The client
Artist Kerwin Blackburn uses his unique pop-art style to capture icons from the stage and screen such as The Beatles, Diana Ross and Twiggy. Proving creativity can be commercially successful, Kerwin engaged Westgate to run a consumer awareness PR programme and drive sales of his prints, original artwork and a range of homewares and merchandise online and at exhibitions.

Our approach
Taking inspiration from the positive energy and vibrant colours used in Kerwin’s art, we developed a series of interior and homeware trends to place with national consumer media. We also secured press interviews to encourage visits to his exhibition in Norwich and drive traffic to his homeware online business,

The solution
Across a three-month period, we secured 15 pieces of coverage in national and consumer press, reaching an audience of 3.2 million.

Highlights include:

–  Telegraph
–  Heat
–  Closer

Coverage also appeared in Creative Review, Eastern Daily Press and Norfolk Suffolk Life and Kerwin was interviewed for BBC Radio Norfolk.
